Sachin Gupta heads the Corporate Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice of the Firm as a Senior Partner, with a prime focus on complex civil & commercial litigation and arbitration matters.
Sachin graduated as an engineer and thereafter completed his degree in Law. He has immense exposure in the field of corporate commercial law. His areas of expertise are rehabilitation of distressed entities, shareholders’ dispute resolution, issues related to equity and debt, recovery of debts, and securitisation-related matters, bidding and commercial disputes arising out of other contractual matters.
He handles matters in the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and various Tribunals, other quasi-judicial and alternate dispute resolution forums. He also provides consultancy, opinions and strategic advice to clients to manage their litigations.
He has advised clients in multifarious litigation matters relating to commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, oppression, mismanagement, winding-up, white-collar crimes, amalgamation and restructuring of companies, both at trial and appellate level, including handling writ litigations.
He also handles Real Estate litigation, including those pertaining to specific performance of contracts for sale, litigation pertaining to breach of terms of lease, and disputes arising out of Joint Development Agreements.
Sachin frequently authors articles and has penned down numerous articles in the area of “Restructuring & Insolvency, Banking & Finance, Civil & Commercial Laws & Dispute Resolution, Litigation & Arbitration”, which have been published by many leading legal publications.
Sachin has been consistently ranked by leading internal institutions.
